Hi! It's been a while since I posted on the blog or released any new content. I wanted to update you on what's happening at Hedera House, and let you know about some changes I'm making to my business.
First things first: Where have I been?
I took a break in February to go to Japan (which was A-MAZ-ING, by the way) and when I got home, I planned on hopping back into full-time Hedera House mode. But those plans were derailed when I was offered a full-time job at an organisation I worked casually with last year. I loved working with this organisation, and I was thrilled at the opportunity to work full-time in a team of wonderful editors. So, even though I've loved working full-time in my own editing business, I decided that I couldn't turn down this opportunity.
That's what I've been up to lately—trying to settle into a proper full-time editing job! It's been a whirlwind, but I'm absolutely loving it.
What's happening with Hedera House?
Hedera isn't going anywhere, but I don't have as much time at the moment to dedicate to it. So, even if it looks like I've fallen off the face of the Earth, I'm still here!
I'm not going to be writing as many resources or blog posts for a while, and I probably won't be posting on social media much, either—but I am still taking on editing clients. Feel free to get in touch if you'd like to work together.
Changes are afoot!
Because of all the changes to my life recently, I've decided to make some changes to Hedera House, too. The biggest change is that I'm cancelling my subscription with ConvertKit, which means changes to how I deliver my resources. So:
- The Hedera House resource library is now open to all, no sign-up necessary.
- My Unboring Your Writing course (previously an email course) is now a mini-course delivered through pages on my website.
That's all for now...
That's all my news for now. I'm sad to be stepping back a bit from Hedera House, but I'm loving my job—and I am still here, just quieter. I've loved the past few years of building Hedera, doling out grammar and writing tips, and connecting with all of you beautiful people. Thank you for your support—it has meant the world to me.
I hope we meet again soon!
